Kravets I.V. IDENTIFICATION AND PROTECTION OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY IN THE ACTIVITIES OF AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES: INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE AND DOMESTIC APPROACH
Purpose. The aim of the article is the research of scientific and theoretical, practical aspects of identification and protection of intellectual property objects of domestic agricultural enterprises in Ukraine and the world.
Methodology of research. The theoretical and methodological basis of the research is the basic principles of economic theory, a systematic approach to the study of economic and social phenomena, the development and research of domestic and foreign scholars, legislative and other normative legal acts of Ukraine and the world community, and also the scientific and analytical method research – to substantiate the scientific and theoretical, practical aspects of the identification and protection of intellectual property rights in the activities of agricultural enterprises.
Findings. Theoretical, practical and practical aspects related to the identification and protection of intellectual property rights in the activities of agricultural enterprises in Ukraine and in the world are substantiated. Given the dynamic integration and globalization processes that new resource and marketing markets bring to the agricultural producers, much attention is paid to the ways of individualizing goods and services in the form of the use of trademarks and trade names.
The domestic and international legal and regulatory framework for the creation and registration of trade marks by domestic agricultural enterprises is analyzed. The order, cost and terms of registration of trade marks (trade marks) are established on the national and international level. The purposes, methods and possibilities of estimation and accounting of objects of intellectual property right of agricultural enterprises are determined. It is proposed the situations, where the evaluation of intellectual property is necessary.
Originality. The methodical approach to substantiating the purposes of identification, evaluation and further accounting of intellectual property objects of domestic agricultural enterprises is improved; in particular, the reasons, situations and methods of valuation and accounting of intangible assets are highlighted.
Practical value. The results of the practical application of author's approaches to the identification and protection of intellectual property objects can be used in the production and economic activities of agrarian enterprises. The theoretical and methodological principles of the research can be used in the teaching of the disciplines “Innovation Management”, “Intellectual Property Management”, “Enterprise Economics”, “Organization of Agribusiness and Entrepreneurship” for students of the Faculty of Economics and Faculty of Agrarian Management, full-time and part-time study in higher education institutions.
