Hoisiuk L.V. TRENDS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE RAPE MARKET IN UKRAINE AND IN THE WORLD
Purpose. The aim of the article is the analysis of rape and colza production in Ukraine and the world, estimation of price level and its impact on the profitability of cultivation of investigated crops.
Methodology of research. The following methods are used in the process of research: analysis and synthesis (for studying the object of the study), abstract and logical (for the formulation of conclusions and generalizations), as well as a cartographic method (to estimate the rate of decline of the area from which the rape and corn are harvested).
Findings. A comparative analysis of the harvest area and volumes of rape and colza production in the leading countries of the world and Ukraine is conducted. The dynamics of the area change from which rape and corn are harvested is calculated and analyzed. It has been established that due to the optimal crop location, it is possible to increase significantly the average yield and increase the volume of production on smaller areas of cropping.
It has been determined that through effective marketing activities, it is possible to increase the price of rape and colza sales and ensure a high level of profitability for cultivating these crops as they play an important role in solving food problems, problems of fodder production and problems connected with fuel supply in the countries of the world.
Scientific novelty. The estimation of rapeseed production in Ukraine and the world is carried out, on the basis of which the motivating factors of production of the studied crops are presented. It is established that one of the main motivating factors of production is the high selling price.
Practical significance. The obtained research results are the basis for increasing the demand and supply of rapeseed.
Key words: rape; colza; demand; supply; growth rate; sale price.
