Chekhov S.A. THE ECONOMIC ESSENCE AND PLACE OF THE MARKET OF OILSEED CROPS IN THE SYSTEM OF AGRARIAN MARKETS
Purpose. The aim of the article is to investigate the economic essence and place of the market of oilseeds in the system of agrarian markets.
Methodology of research. The theoretical and methodological basis of the research is the fundamental provisions of modern economic theory, scientific works of scientists, regulatory and legal framework of Ukraine on the functioning of the market for oilseed crops. In the course of the research, the following methods are used: abstract and logical (to identify the essence of the agrarian market and the market of oilseed crops as an economic category), monographic (for studying the characteristics of the market of oilseed crops, identifying its main functions), generalization (when forming the positions of scientists in relation to the concept “Agrarian market”), graphic (in the formation of the market structure of seeds in the context of subjects, by territorial division), system analysis (for the identification of specific features and features of the market for oilseeds).
Findings. It is determined that the market of seeds occupies a special place in the system of agrarian markets, which is characterized by scale and high saturation of components. The importance of the oilseeds market for the agrarian sector of the country is substantiated due to the irreplaceable sunflower seeds, soybeans, rapeseed for functioning of the market of oilseeds and oilseed fat complex.
The author's definition of “market of seeds of oilseeds” is proposed as a system of economic relations that arise among its subjects in the process of creation, production, preparation, certification, sale and purchase of seed of varieties, hybrids of oilseeds, in conditions of free competition, free choice of implementation directions of realization and cooperation, and also state control over quality and storage of products.
The structure of the seed market of oilseeds in the context of the subjects, the structure of the circulation of oilseeds in Ukraine is developed. It has been determined that the seed market of oilseeds is characterized by the supply of seeds from the originators and producers of seeds, and the demand for seeds from the producers of commodity seed oilseeds that act as seed buyers.
Scientific novelty consists in determining a special place in the system of agrarian market “market of oilseed crops”, allocation of the market of oilseeds seeds as a specific type of market with inherent functions, structure.
Practical value. The obtained scientific results are the basis for solving practical problems concerning the improvement of the functioning of the market of oilseed in order to ensure the effective production of commercial seed of oilseeds.
