Purpose. The aim of the article is to investigate the possibility of using the method of hierarchy analysis to make managerial decisions to improve the state’s activities in the social arrangement of children.
Methodology of research. Methods of general and empirical techniques based on the systematic approach are used in the research process. In addition, the following methods of scientific cognition are used to solve the tasks: analysis and observation methods are used to group the main factors influencing decision-making, the assessment method for processing expert information and the method of hierarchy analysis to solve planning and decision-making tasks.
Findings. Family forms of placement of orphans and children deprived of parental care have been identified and investigated. The criteria that are taken into account when choosing forms of arrangement of the child are formed. The method of analysis of hierarchies according to expert estimates among experts in the field of social placement of children has established that economic factors are the most important in choosing parents forms of child placement. The necessity of introduction of new economic methods of management activity of the sphere of social arrangement of children is substantiated.
Originality. It is suggested to use the method of hierarchy analysis to study the multi-criteria management problem in the field of social placement of children with regard to the choice of priority forms of placement of orphans and children deprived of parental care. The priority steps in the updated model of social placement of children in different forms of education, taking into account the economic aspect, are identified.
Practical value. The obtained results of the study are the basis for improving the organizational and economic mechanisms of managerial activity in the field of social organization of children.
