Purpose. The purpose of the article is the analysis of the impact of innovations and modification of banking services on the formation of human resources.
Methodology of research. The following methods of scientific research are used to achieve this goal: statistical analysis – in studying the dynamics of the number of employed, registered unemployed and average monthly wages in financial and insurance activities; generalization and systematization – in determining the advantages of non-cash services; tabular – for better representation of statistical data; abstract and logical – to outline perspective changes in human resources due to the impact of the introduction of innovations in the banking sector.
Findings. The dynamics of the number of employed in financial and insurance activities is investigated and their reduction by 100.9 thousand persons during 2012–2018 is determined, while the average monthly nominal wage of employees of this type of activity exceeds 1.8-2 times its average Ukrainian value. It is substantiated that the reduction of the employed is primarily due to the introduction of the modern technologies in the banking sector, as well as the introduction of information and communication technologies in customer service. The sphere of using noncontact payment technologies in Ukraine is investigated. The advantages of using contactless payment technologies for the population, banking institution, business and the region are determined. It has been established that the development of technologies affects the change in the number of personnel potential that is involved in the banking sphere (in the direction of reduction), and introduces new requirements for its quality – the level of education, readiness for development of innovations, creativity, constant self-management, a higher level of stress resistance (in the direction of growth, improvement).
Originality. The further development of the substantiation of the influence of innovations that are being introduced in the banking sphere and the modification of the technologies of providing banking services on the formation of the personnel potential in quantitative and qualitative aspect has been received.
The practical value. The results of the research can be the basis for further research into the development of a specific methodology for determining the size of the personnel potential of the banking sector in the future as a result of the introduction of innovations and the modification of banking services.
Key words: banking innovations; banking services; personnel potential; technologies of contactless payment.
