Abstract

Krysko Zh.L.  THE IMPACT OF MATERIAL RESOURCE EFFICIENCY ON THE FORMATION OF CUSTOMER-ORIENTED ENTERPRISE ACTIVITIES

Purpose. The aim of the study is to substantiate the impact of material resource efficiency on the formation of customer-oriented enterprise activities and to develop a model of this relationship.

Methodology of research. The study employs general scientific and special methods, including analysis and synthesis to generalize theoretical approaches to material resource management and customer orientation; a system approach to consider the enterprise as an integrated system combining resource, operational, and customer levels; abstract and logical method to formulate theoretical generalizations and develop the model; structural and functional analysis to identify relationships between model elements; graphical method to visualize the proposed model; and comparative analysis to summarize practical experience of enterprises.

Findings. The study substantiates that material resource efficiency determines not only internal performance outcomes but also the parameters of customer experience. It is established that the impact of resource efficiency on customer orientation is indirect and is realized through operational parameters, including production cycle time, process stability, order processing speed, and production flexibility. Three analytical levels are identified: resource, operational, and customer levels. An analytical model is developed that reflects causal relationships between these levels and includes transformation mechanisms (time, quality, economic, adaptive, and informational). The interconnection between material resource efficiency indicators, operational results, and customer-oriented performance indicators is systematized.

Originality. An analytical model of the impact of material resource efficiency on customer-oriented enterprise activities is developed, based on the integration of resource, operational, and customer approaches, and reflecting the indirect nature of this impact through operational parameters. The approach to assessing customer orientation is improved by incorporating indicators of material resource efficiency into its formation.

Practical value. The proposed model can be applied by enterprises to develop customer-oriented strategies based on improving material resource efficiency and to enhance operational management systems.

Key words: material resource efficiency, material resource management, material intensity, cost optimization, customer orientation, operational activity, system of indicators.
