Lopatka S.S. ESSENTIAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE COMPETITIVENESS OF CONSTRUCTION ENTERPRISES
Purpose. The aim of the article is to examine the essential characteristics of the competitiveness of construction enterprises across key aspects of their operations.
Methodology of research. The following research methods were employed to achieve the stated goal: analysis, monographic method, and induction, to explore the essential characteristics of the competitiveness of construction enterprises across key aspects of their operations and identify strategic directions for building competitive advantages.
Findings. The essential characteristics of the competitiveness of construction sector enterprises were studied, summarizing existing approaches in the scientific literature to its formation. Key directions for building competitiveness were identified, including enhancing management efficiency (of material, financial, and human resources), innovation potential (material and technical base, human, organizational, financial, informational, research, and cultural potential), financial stability (effective use and allocation of financial resources, maintaining a stable financial condition, and ensuring the ability to meet financial obligations in the short and long term), human resources, and organizational culture (human resource management, motivation, skill development of employees, and fostering a healthy corporate environment). These are identified as critical strategic processes for enterprises.
Originality. The study further developed the investigation of the essential characteristics of the competitiveness of construction enterprises, as well as approaches to managing human resources in construction enterprises to strengthen their competitive positions.
Practical value. The research results can serve as a basis for further scientific studies on enhancing the competitiveness of construction sector enterprises and developing a methodology for its assessment.
