Kolesnikov A.V. TRENDS AND PECULIARITIES OF FLORICULTURE DEVELOPMENT IN THE LEADING COUNTRIES OF THE WORLD
Purpose. The aim of the article is to determine trends and establish the peculiarities of floriculture development in the leading countries of the world.
Methodology of research. The theoretical and methodological basis of the study is a systematic approach to the consideration of social and economic phenomena and processes. Other methods were also used in the study, including: statistical method – to assess the distribution of the supply of floricultural products and market shares for these products between the leading countries; abstract and logical – to understand the patterns of floriculture development; graphical method – for the visual presentation of the research results; generalization method – to form the conclusions of the study.
Findings. The importance of terminological clarification of the objectivity of floriculture is emphasized. The peculiarities of supply and demand of floriculture products and competitive factors of development of this production and market in 10 leading countries of the world are established. Two predominant approaches to the development of floriculture are singled out – evolutionary and specialized, according to which the peculiarities and predominant tools of use are determined, which can be the basis for the development of this industry and market in Ukraine.
Originality. The study of the floriculture development was further developed; in particular, two predominant approaches were identified – evolutionary and specialized - to the development of floriculture in the countries of the world, with the determination of the possibilities of their application in Ukraine, which will contribute to strengthening their social significance in solving existing problems.
Practical value. The obtained results of the study are aimed at a wider perception of floriculture products in business circles, the scientific and expert community and awareness of its potential market opportunities in terms of strengthening the international positioning of Ukraine and the potential filling of budgets of different levels.
