Krysovatyi I.A. THE PHENOMENON OF THE INNOVATION PARK IN MODERN URBANISM

Purpose. The aim of the article is to study the phenomenon of the innovation park in urban planning, its purpose, goals, objectives, functions and elements of infrastructural support for its functioning, as well as its role in the formation of the city's innovation ecosystem.

Methodology of research. The following research methods were used to achieve the set goal: abstract and logical – to study the existing legislative basis for defining the essence of the innovation park and the subjective formation of its participants, formulating the purpose of its creation, goals, objectives and functions from the point of view of urban planning; monographic and comparative – for the characterization and classification of elements of the innovation infrastructure of the innovation park; graphical – for the visualization of the research results.

Findings. The drafts of the Law of Ukraine “On Innovation Parks” were analysed, on the basis of which debatable issues regarding the formation of the circle of their participants were identified, the need for its expansion was substantiated from the point of view of the impact of the innovation park on the city economy and urbanism in general. The goal of creating an innovation park is formulated, and the basic conditions for its formation are emphasized in the context of the development of the city's innovation ecosystem and the achievement of sustainable development goals. The goals of the innovation park in urban planning are characterized, its tasks, which are implemented through a number of functions.

The functions that have a special impact on urbanism and distinguish innovative parks from other innovative entities are highlighted. A classification of the infrastructure elements of the innovation park is proposed, the role of innovative infrastructure in urban planning and in stimulating the development of other types of infrastructure is defined. The most important elements of innovation infrastructure (business accelerators, business incubators, innovation, including digital and creative, hubs, technology transfer centres, etc.) and their role in urban planning are characterized.
