Shchurovska A.Yu. EVALUATION OF THE IMPACT OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS DEVELOPMENT ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE ECONOMY OF THE REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN

Purpose. The purpose of the article is to identify patterns of development of telecommunications as a complex sphere of the economy, correlation with economic growth of Azerbaijan, patterns of consumption and macro generation of telecommunication services.

Methodology of research. Methods of systemic, logical and comparative analysis are used in solving the problems posed in the work to identify the relationships between the investigated features, economic statistics and econometrics for constructing regression models of the dependence of macroeconomic indicators of the development of the country’s economy and telecommunication spheres.

Findings.The main parameters of the development of the telecommunications sector of Azerbaijan in recent years are substantiated, which allowed to identify the patterns of their development as an integrated sector of the economy, correlation relationships with economic growth, the convergence of communications and computer science, the effect of information and economic law, consumption patterns and macro-generation of telecommunications services.

To identify the relationship between macroeconomic development (GDP gross domestic product) and the development of telecommunications, causal relationships have been established between economic indicators.

It has been analyzed and proved that the rapid development of modern telecommunications significantly influences social and economic development of many countries, including Azerbaijan.

Originality. The study, conducted in the article, allowed establishing the equally accelerated dependence of the growth of Internet users and the number of subscribers of mobile phones, which is increasing, above the level of GDP, on the basis of which it is proved that the proportionally advanced pattern of development of telecommunications is transformed into advancing accelerated.

Practical value. The practical significance of the research lies in the scientific substantiation of the forecasting of the parameters of the development of the telecommunications sector. The substantiation of the factors and patterns of development of the telecommunications sector allows them to objectively predict their prospects, based on factors relating to the national economy.
