Purpose. The aim of the article is to research the individual tendencies and problems of development of the sphere of internal trade, as well as consideration of the subsystem of the wholesale market with the definition of its main elements, which in general is an important formation of the social and economic system of commodity circulation of the state.
Methodology of research. The main theoretical basis of the article is the scientific status and achievements of modern trade and management.
A number of general scientific and special research methods, interconnected and consistently applied in the general logic of the analysis is used in the process of work: economic and statistical – for monitoring of the internal trade market of Ukraine; factor analysis – to determine the factors of the market environment; schematic - for presentation of theoretical and practical positions of work; receptions of the abstract and logical method – for theoretical generalizations and the formation of conclusions.
Findings. The main problems and bottlenecks of the trade sphere are revealed. The weight of the wholesale link in the social and economic system of the commodity circulation of the state is determined. it is recommended to focus on the issues of studying the systematic nature of the structure of the wholesale market in order to increase the efficiency of the field of commodity circulation of the state, its functionality, the place and role of each of its active participants: the producer as the developer of the product of trade, traders as service providers, the consumer as the one who dictates market needs , and the state – as the main organizing and regulatory authority of the entire system.
Originality. The causal model of the state and development of the domestic market of Ukraine is constructed. The model of the wholesale subsystem is developed with the definition of its main elements: input and output of the system, subsystem functions, factors of influence, subjects and objects.
Practical value. The scientific and practical task of using the methods of identification and taking into account market factors as the possibility of effective functioning of the subjects and objects of the market at its various levels is solved.
