Okhota V.I., Suslov P.V. THE ROLE OF CROSS-CULTURAL COMMUNICATION IN MANAGING INTERNATIONAL TEAMS IN THE CONDITIONS OF A DIGITALIZED SOCIETY

Purpose. The aim of the article is to determine the role of cross-cultural communication in the management of multinational teams and substantiate the need to use modern digital technologies to improve interaction between members of international teams in the context of globalization of economic relations.

Methodology of research. The following general scientific and special methods were used in the research process: induction and deduction – at the stage of information collection, systematization and processing; abstract and logical – for summarizing information from various sources and creating a comprehensive picture of the problem under study, forming theoretical conclusions and generalizations; tabular – for visualizing the results of the study.

Findings. To achieve the objectives, the author systematized the concepts of classical scholars on the role of cross-cultural communication in international teams, who emphasized the importance of understanding cultural differences for effective interaction. In the course of the study, the author presented and analysed a “cultural map”, which is a tool for effective management of international teams in the context of cross-cultural communication. In addition, the author classifies innovative digital technologies that are actively used by members of international teams to improve cross-cultural communication. These technologies include virtual reality, artificial intelligence-based collaboration platforms, speech analysis tools, chatbots and gamification of learning.

Originality. Systematization of innovative digital technologies to improve cross-cultural communication in international teams has gained further development.

Practical value. The results of the study can be useful for business managers, as they provide insight into the importance of cross-cultural communication and the role of innovative technologies in improving the interaction between members of international teams, which in turn contributes to improving performance in the global business environment.
