Purpose. The aim of the article is the development of approaches to the formation of a positive image in the system of enterprise competitiveness management.
Methodology of research. The theoretical and methodological bases were the basic provisions of the economic theory and scientific achievements of scientists. The following scientific methods are used during the research: statistical and economic (study of the influence of internal and external factors on the formation of a positive image in the system of enterprise competitiveness management); dialectical and abstract and logical – in carrying out theoretical generalizations, clarifying the conceptual apparatus on the problem of research and formulation of conclusions.
Findings. The interrelation between the areas of competitiveness management and the corresponding components of the image is determined, which gave the opportunity to form a logical and consecutive lag of areas of competitiveness management and components of the image of enterprises. The matrix of evaluation and alignment of image and competitiveness levels is built on this basis, which provides an opportunity to comprehensively analyze the impact of the image on the activities of the enterprise and to harmonize their interactions, purposefully manage the image from the standpoint of ensuring competitiveness. The stages of the process of maintaining a positive image of enterprises in the context of ensuring the competitiveness of enterprises are substantiated.
Originality. The proposed system of enterprise competitiveness management, functioning of which ensures the implementation of a set of strategies, supplemented by the strategy of creating a positive image, involves analyzing the starting position of the enterprise, developing and implementing a corrective action system based on adherence to the principles of effective management, competence, confidentiality, corporate ethics, which will promote the increase of social and the economic responsibility of the industry and strengthening their market position.
Practical value. The results of research of the processes of image formation in the system of increasing the competitiveness of enterprises will allow to expand the list of important factors influencing its state, and allow to determine the main directions of its formation.
