Abstract
Vlasenko I.V., Morozova N.I., Yarova Yu.M. SCIENCE IN WAR CONDITIONS: CHALLENGES AND PROSPECTS
Purpose. The aim of the article is to study the state and prospects for the development of domestic science in wartime conditions.
Methodology of research. In the research process, general scientific and special methods were used: induction and deduction ‒ at the stage of collecting, systematizing and processing information to identify trends and cause-and-effect relationships in the scientific sphere in connection with the beginning of a full-scale war on the territory of our state; analysis and synthesis ‒ to identify the main directions of development of scientific research; abstract and logical ‒ to summarize information from various sources and create a comprehensive understanding of the problem under study, the formation of theoretical conclusions and generalizations; graphical ‒ to visualize the results of the study.
Findings. The article shows that the full-scale invasion was a huge blow to Ukrainian science. The dynamics of the volume of products sold in the field of scientific research, the number of scientists involved in the implementation of scientific developments are analysed. It is established that the number of introduced types of innovative products (goods, services) increased sharply after the beginning of the war. The promising areas of scientific research that are important to develop, taking into account today's realities, are analysed. Even in wartime, an important task for the scientific community of our state is to improve the scientific image of Ukraine.
It is shown that improving Ukraine's ranking positions in the context of global scientific research will positively affect all spheres of the country's life. It is substantiated that the role of European integration for the development of Ukraine has been and remains important. European integration is the main and unchanging foreign policy priority of Ukraine, and further development and deepening of relations between Ukraine and the EU is carried out on the principles of political association and economic integration.
Originality. The understanding of the trends in the development of Ukrainian science has been improved. The idea of current directions of scientific research has developed further, taking into account today's realities.
It has been established that the improvement of Ukraine's ranking positions in the context of global scientific research will have a positive impact on all spheres of life in the country.
Practical value. By analysing the state of development of science in modern conditions and understanding the trends of the modern world, it is possible to outline important areas of scientific research for further high-tech restoration and development.
Key words: science, scientific potential, scientific research, scientific developments, innovative products. Keywords
