Purpose. The aim of the article is to identifying the opportunities and prospects for the application of neural networks in the budget sector, as well as studying the problems and advantages of their implementation.

Methodology of research. The research methodology covers the analysis of modern approaches to accounting in the public sector with an emphasis on identifying the capabilities of artificial intelligence for automating processes. Comparative analysis methods were used to compare the effectiveness of traditional and digital solutions, as well as the synthesis method to determine the key areas of application of artificial intelligence.
