ANALYSIS OF THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE WORLD LABOUR MARKET UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF REVOLUTION 4.0

Bahley R.R., Buchynska T.V. ANALYSIS OF THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE WORLD LABOUR MARKET UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF REVOLUTION 4.0.

Purpose. The aim of the article is the analysis of structural changes in the world labour market under the influence of Revolution 4.0 and the definition of the basic requirements for specialists in today's conditions in order to ensure their competitiveness.

Methodology of research. The fundamental positions of modern economic theory, scientific works of scientists, normative and legislative acts on employment of workers are the theoretical and methodological basis of the research. The following general scientific and special methods are used to achieve this goal and to solve the problems: economic analysis and structural synthesis – in assessing the structure of the world labour market and the practice of forming universal competencies of the person; the method of comparisons – to assess the state of the world labour market in the EU member states and in Ukraine; graphical and tabular methods for presenting the results of empirical research.

Findings. It is established that the world labour market undergoes dramatic changes under the influence of Revolution 4.0 as regards the forms of organization of social and labour relations, as well as the structure of employment, which results in more flexible behaviour of both the employee and the employer. It is revealed that structural and sectoral changes taking place today in both the national and world economic system under the influence of globalization and technological processes became the main cause of fundamental transformations of the world labour market. New technological processes, the use of new technology, the rotation of a number of business processes, the introduction of blockade technology and the development of neural networks, technologies of artificial intelligence lead to changes in the structure and nature of employment, working conditions, organizational forms of social labour relations, payment methods and the need for a new qualified inflow labour force. In this regard it is necessary to constantly learn new skills, improve their qualification level and permanently learn in order to ensure the competitiveness of the person on the labour market. It is substantiated that structural changes taking place in the labour market require more highly skilled and mobile workers, that is, those that flexibly respond to market demands, which necessitates the training of a person throughout his life and the acquisition of appropriate universal competencies.

Originality. The state of transformation of the world labour market under the influence of Revolution 4.0 is analyzed in a complex way and ways of increasing the competitiveness of specialists are proposed.

Practical value. Analysis of the transformation of the world labour market under the influence of Revolution 4.0 will help future researchers to better understand employment problems, to raise the qualification level of specialists and their competitiveness through the formation of universal competencies.
