Brych V.Ya., Halysh N.A. RESOURCE APPROACH TO STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT OF TOURISM ENTERPRISES
Purpose. The aim of the article is substantiation of theoretical bases of the resource approach to strategic management of tourism enterprises in the Ternopil region according to the need for their sustainable development in the conditions of activation of the tourist services market.
Methodology of research. The theoretical and methodological bases of the research are the findings of domestic and foreign scientists on the strategic development of tourism enterprises. In the course of the research, the methods of analysis are used (to identify key parameters of the basic enterprise strategies), synthesis (to generalize the concept of resource strategies of tourism enterprises), SWOT analysis (to identify strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the strategic activity of the tourist company “Land of recreation”).
Findings. The essence of the category “resource strategies” is substantiated, their key parameters are characterized. The basic directions of development of tourist potential of Ternopil region are highlighted, and therefore – strategic vectors for competitive activity of tourist enterprises. The factors of opportunities and threats in the development of the tourist enterprise “Land of recreation” are grouped on the basis of analysis, therefore created possibilities to make proposals on the directions of its activity.
Originality. The theoretical foundations of the resource approach to the strategic management of tourism enterprises related to the adherence to the conceptual principles of sustainable development as a global strategy for modern development are substantiated. In particular, it is proved that the use of a resource approach can significantly affect the efficiency of the tourism enterprise in a competitive environment.
Practical value. According to the results of the SWOT-analysis, the strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the tourist enterprise “Land of recreation” are identified. Matrixes of opportunities and threats for the given enterprise were constructed. As a result it was possible to differentiate the degree of influence on the activity of a tourist enterprise depending on the probability assessment of their realization in drawing up plans for strategic development.
